As a #blogger, reviewing fun Mexican restaurants is a must, so I always get very excited when I do. There is nothing like overhearing someone ironically say “una cerveza por favor”, because that is the kind of thing that gives me the satisfaction of knowing someone’s culture is being honoured and respected, and that is ultimately what I look for in Mexican restaurants when I am reviewing them. So, with that in mind, here is a list of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal according to foodora!
If you’re a Tex-Mex cuisine aficionado, you know your way around a Subway-style burrito counter. Choosing what you want in your Hispanic-oriented sandwich and being able to give specific orders to the employee without having the stress of sounding picky is key, and that is what you get at Ke Paso. This establishment delivers an extremely fresh-tasting version of this experience and is guaranteed to leave you asking for “más”, if you know what I mean, as a cultured reader. From cheese quesadilla and create-your-own tacos to house churros, this one is definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal.
This downtown location easily makes its way onto foodora’s best Mexican restaurants in Montreal list. The restaurant’s aesthetic will make it easy for you to #create cool Instagram posts while on a fun night out with your cool friends. Even though you’ll have to travel outside of Mile-End for this one, Don Taco is for sure worth it. The food is very flavourful, and if you can’t make it to the location because “downtown is not authentic”, foodora will gladly deliver your burrito bowls, nacho dons tacos, a large guacamole and whatever else you’re craving to you in the restaurant’s packaging, which also has that ironic Instagram post charm.
El Gordo has that #classic Little Burgundy / Saint-Henri feel to it. The food has #ethnic connotations, and the restaurant has a name that proves that, but it is cooked in a #unique Sud-Ouest way. The generous portions and the harmony between cultures that is present in the food will knock you down, in a good way, kind of like Keri Hilson was at one point in her life. Some of the restaurant’s must-try include the calamars croustillants (fried strings of squid, red onions and spicy cream), camarones and chorizo tacos and the poulet de grain burrito.
I heard that #diversity is good, and that is what Diablos BBQ Cantina brings to this list of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal. With its saloon vibes and thick BBQ meat, this fun restaurant can be enjoyed by fans of Joe Rogan and other people who like meat and saloons alike. As you can tell by reading the name of the establishment, Diablos BBQ Cantina makes meat but with a Mexican touch. Popular items include taquitos, smoked poutine, ceviche del mar and the pulled pork sandwich. This Tex-Mex experience is not common in Montreal and is definitely worth a try.
If you like churros, empanadas, NDG, and Argentinian slang, this is the place for you. Its selection of Mexican dishes is this establishment’s loophole into this prestigious list of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal, but the restaurant offers a lot more thanks to its mastery of dough. Being able to eat with your hands and knowing they’re not going to get that dirty and all you’ll probably need is one napkin is very important, and Che Churros y Empanadas will bring you that joy. Using foodora means you want your life to be easier, and this restaurant is definitely in line with that futuristic state of mind. Make sure to try their pollo and cranberry, panceta and ciruela, and Chillean beef empanadas when you order.
