Let’s be real, watching the game goes hand in hand with tasty eats. We’ve uncovered some crazy orders Torontonians placed during the historic Raptors game 6 that took us into the NBA finals. #GoRaps #WeTheNorth !
(Scroll down for an infographic and a delicious surprise just for you!)
Starting off with Toronto’s very own Village is a massive order of 49 fried chicken wings (emphasis on LARGE) delivered 9:39pm. This $300 order was prepared by The Fry – a classic & delicious Korean fried chicken joint.
Next up are the cool kids in North York with their massive $320 order, consisting of 5 devil chickens from Thai Room Grand. The order was successfully delivered at 8:38pm – just in-time for the HEAT!
All of the attention in Toronto was on downtown but that didn’t keep the Eastsiders from having a lit gathering with 20 butter naans + 12 kebabs! It was a $350 feast from Lahour Tikki House.
Queen St. W
Queen West fans ordered almost 150 pieces of sushi and sashimi (a delivery of $267) to watch the Raptors game together. We must say nothing screams “great sushi” more on Queen W. than Saku Sushi. (Small plug: they are offering free delivery via foodora for a limited time only!)
Liberty Village seemed to be a little behind on their sushi game with 106 pieces compared to Queen W. – but the 3 veggie + shrimp tempura udons totally made up for the celebration. This $254 order was successfully delivered at 9:49pm.
Those who live in the Bloor-Yonge area definitely must have witnessed the massive midnight parade after we beat the Bucks. The same energy went into this order from Sabai Sabai on Bloor of 20 grilled satay chicken skewers. This $230 feast was successfully delivered at 8pm right before the game started!
